Lucas Glover beat Jonathan Byrd one the first playoff hole to claim his first victory since 2009. Rory Sabbatini took third and Bill Haas finished in fourth place.
3 Up
Lucas Glover: Lucas Glover shot four rounds in the 60’s last week for his first win since the U.S. Open in 2009. Before last week, Glover has only had three top 10’s in the last two seasons. Glover missed the cut at all three events prior to the Wells Fargo Championship, but hopefully this win will move his season in the right direction.
Zach Johnson: Prior to Quail Hollow, Zach Johnson’s best finish on tour this season was a tie for 20th. A tie for 6th last week will hopefully get Johnson on the right track. Zach was first in eagles last week with 3 and tied for fourth in putting. I expect Zach Johnson to be one of the most consistent players on tour for the rest of the year.
Stewart Cink: Stewart Cink shot a 65 in the second round to help him get his first top 10 of the year. His final round of 74 was a bit disappointing, but it was still a solid tournament for Cink. He will need to keep his putter going if he wants to continue to be a fixture on Sunday.
3 Down
Martin Kaymer: Martin Kaymer was the #1 ranked player in the world early this year, but he has played poorly as of late. His last two finishes on the PGA tour have been a missed cut and a tie for 62nd. He didn’t play terrible last week, but tied for 62nd in putting.
Nick Watney: After finishing in the top 10 in the first six tournaments he played in this year, Watney has cooled off. Watney hasn’t been putting well lately. I expect Watney to struggle for a while until he can get his putter going again.

Dustin Johnson: Dustin Johnson shot a 79 in the second round. He had three double bogeys and a quadruple bogey in the first two rounds. If Dustin wants to start playing well again, he is going to have to start hitting the fairway off the tee. He only hit 21 percent of fairways in the second round and 39 percent for the week.
Fantasy Breakdown Results
Players to Think About (2-1-0 ; 2-3-1)
Phil Mickelson (Win): Phil looked like he was going to make a run on Sunday, but faltered on the back nine. Mickelson had a rough third round (74), but had three rounds under 70 this week. Phil should continue to have a great year after yet another top 10 finish.
Martin Kaymer (Loss): Kaymer was a disappointment last week again. He made the cut, but didn’t shoot a single round in the under 70. I thought Kaymer would be through his slump by now, but obviously he’s not.
Rickie Fowler (Win): Fowler tied for 16th place last week and tied for 4th in putting. If he continues to be hot with the short stick, expect Rickie to be on this list often.

Players to Stay Away From (0-1-2 ; 3-1-2)
Jeff Overton (Push): I expected Overton to miss the cut last week, but an opening round of 70 got him started off on the right foot and helped him place in a tie for 33rd. Overton had a consistent tournament and may be slowly coming out of his slump.
Justin Rose (Push): Justin Rose finished in a tie for 28th this week after shooting a 69-69 on the weekend. Rose has historically struggled at Quail Hollow. A top 30 here shows that Rose is continuing his solid season and should be considered most weeks.
Webb Simpson (Loss): I expected Webb Simpson to struggle at Quail Hollow, but he finished in a tie for 21st. Simpson continues to be a hit-or-miss player this year. Keep an eye on him for the rest of the year. If he has a solid track record at the event, I would consider starting him.
My Picks (0-2-1 ; 3-2-1)
Jim Furyk (Push): Furyk didn’t do as well as I expected but still finished in the top 25. He had a solid weekend, but opening rounds of 72-72 put him in too big of a hole. Furyk has still been a disappointment this season; hopefully he snaps out of his slump soon.
Rory McIlroy (Loss): Rory struggled last week and missed the cut. Some people may be worried about Rory after the meltdown at the Masters and missed cut at Quail Hollow, but they shouldn’t be. He is still one of the best young players in the game.
Bubba Watson (Loss): Bubba Watson only had one good round last week and finished in a tie for 48th place. Bubba is a risk/reward type of player every week. I would stash Bubba on the bench most of the time, just in case.
This Week's Record: 2-4-3
Overall Record: 8-6-4
